Ivory Patterson is a first-year dual degree Master of Public Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration graduate student. Prior to beginning her studies at The Ohio State University, she received her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Hampton University and upon graduation became post-baccalaureate scholar in the College of Medicine Wexner Medical center. Here she studied novel treatments for a rare breast cancer cell line. Upon completion of her graduate studies, she hopes to become the Chief Diversity Officer of a major medical center in order to promote equal access to healthcare for underrepresented populations. In her free time she enjoys reading mystery novels, shopping, serving as co-leader of the Divine Revelation Dance Ministry at her local church.
Kush Doshi is a fourth year undergraduate completing a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health with a minor in Business. Kush was born and raised in the Bay Area of California. He hopes to continue his studies as a Master’s in Health Administration candidate and will be applying to graduate school next year. In the future, he wants to focus on diversity programs with healthcare systems as well as aiming at strategic methods to provide access to the underserved and underrepresented, especially minority groups. Kush hopes to bring a new aspect to the organization by pushing for more undergraduate involvement and to push for more undergraduate programs such as mentoring between graduates and undergraduates. In his free time, Kush loves getting involved outside of the class and hanging with friends.
Kiefer Jundt has lived in central Ohio for his entire life and been a Buckeye the whole time. Kiefer graduated from THE Ohio State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. Prior to graduation, he served as a complex care intern at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus working closely with Partners for Kids, a pediatric Accountable Care Organization within NCH. Kiefer has also been a barista for more than nine years and is passionate about great coffee, and the incredible moments it can sometimes facilitate and inspire.
Kiefer was diagnosed with Marfans Syndrome in high school, projecting him into countless check-ups, surgeries, MRI’s, etc. The experiences he had peaked his interests in healthcare leading him into the MHA program where he is currently in his first year. Kiefer is passionate about healthcare, social justice, and the intersection of the two. He hopes to be a catalyst for change in our shifting healthcare environment. Go Bucks!
Jessica Miller is a first year MHA student with a BS in Human Nutrition and a minor in Business from OSU. After graduation, she worked as an administrative assistant at the James Cancer Hospital in the Division of Hematology. During her undergraduate career, she worked in public health education as a nutrition educator with an organization called Children’s Hunger Alliance, which works to provide children in underserved communities with free meals during summer breaks and after school hours. She also delivered patient meals in the Wexner Medical Center’s dining services department and enjoyed making an impact on the quality of the patient experience. In her spare time, Jessica is frequently cooking, gardening, hiking and playing soccer.
Jose Cruz is an inspired advocate for helping those less fortunate. He is originally from Paterson, New Jersey and moved to South Jersey later in life. He graduated from Stockton University in 2014 with intentions to pursue a career in Speech Language Pathology. Early in his career, Jose interned at Pediatric Rehabilitation Services Inc, where he realized that he wanted to pursue the administrative side of healthcare. He felt that he could have a bigger impact in communities through this course. Jose is currently continuing his education in the Master of Health Administration program at Ohio State University. He hopes to be involved in ensuring accessibility of care to under served populations. He has also had experience throughout healthcare including outpatient, inpatient and rehabilitation facilities. Jose loves to be involved in the community and is passionate about helping others.
